Corentium Plus samples indoor air through a passive diffusion chamber, using alpha spectrometry to precisely calculate the radon level. Radon is detected using a silicon photodiode to both count and measure the energy of alpha particles resulting from the decay chain of radon gas. The instrument is calibrated to reference instruments in accredited laboratories.
The Corentium Report and Analyze (CRA) software, which comes with the Corentium Plus, allows the user to download all the data from the monitor and each sensor to a PC. The software functionalities are extensive, including the ability to generate custom graphics, custom professional reports, and convert all the data into a CSV file.
Question: Can Corentium Plus be used for official testing?
Answer: The Corentium Plus can be used for official testing everywhere except for the US and Canada. For a device certified for official testing in the Canadian and US markets – look to the Corentium Pro .

Question: H ow often does the device need to be calibrated and how much does it cost to calibrate?
Answer: There is no need to calibrate the Corentium Plus over its lifetime. The device comes pre-calibrated and adapts automatically to its new environment to provide accurate readings.

Question: How quickly can the Corentium Plus device calculate accurate results? A home inspection lasts only a few hours, will it have to be left overnight?
Answer: In the US, a short-term test lasts minimum 48 hours. However, we recommend measuring at least 7 days, and preferably a few months. The longer you measure, the more accurate the results.

Answer: The estimated lifetime is 10 years. The AAA Batteries are estimated to last approximately 2 years.

The software allows the analysis and documentation of the values ??over days, weeks and months. The radon level can be easily analyzed over custom date ranges, such as working time or school hours from Monday to Friday from 07:00 clock to 17:00 clock, if there are people in the buildings. This eliminates a major source of errors that occur in measurements based on average values, since usually at night and on weekends higher radon levels are measured, because the ventilation is often switched off at these times, or is operated on a reduced level.
